Introducing our NYC Brand Ambassador
At Sloane Stationery we are always inspired by the modern woman; stylish, independent, well traveled and energized by the world around her. Although firmly grounded in Sloane Stationery’s English roots, the spirit of our notebooks is meant to reach women all over the world. With exciting collaborations this fall both here in London and across the pond in the US, we are excited to introduce our brand ambassador, Courtney Grace. Based in New York City’s West Village where she leads the branding consultancy Logic & Grace, “CGP” (as she is called by many friends) is never without a Sloane Stationery notebook. See below some of Courtney Grace’s favourite NYC restaurants and stores, including what inspires her most about the Big Apple.
SS: You are the NYC girl about town -- what are your favourite spots in the city?
CGP: I live in the West Village (right where the show Friends was filmed!) so I'm biased on location...some favorites:
Breakfast: Buvette on Grove St.
Lunch: Cafe Minerva
Drinks/Dinner: Claudette or Little Owl
Park: Central Park and Highline
Shopping....
Home: Canvas Home, Oly Studios and Holland & Sherry Bespoke at Elizabeth Street Gallery, End of History
Fashion: Barneys, Otte, Intermix, Opening Ceremony, Industry Standard NY
SS: How did SS and you start to collaborate?
CGP: I met Nathalie as a Style Editor at Architectural Digest when I was scouting new talent at the NY Stationery Show. We hit it off right away and kept in touch ever since. As soon as the brand launched Sept. 2013 we decided it would be the perfect collaboration!
SS: Your top three dinner party gifts?
CGP:
- Flowers from VSF on 10th St. (VSF = Very Special Flowers)
- Chocolate or artisanal salt from The Meadow (the largest selection of chocolates and salt from around the world)
- A custom SS notebook for the hostess!
SS: Your secret formula for the perfect thank you note?
Sincere + clever + grateful
SS: The perfect day in NYC?
CGP: One of the most amazing things about NYC is the city's energy and spontaneity. So it's hard to plan the 'perfect' day in New York. The most memorable days in NYC are those unplanned. But if I had to choose…
Morning run in Central Park
Working on brand strategy with my clients
The Met rooftop for a drink
Dinner at The Lotus Club with my boyfriend
Or dinner at Buvette or Little Owl with my girlfriends
SS: Tell us something about yourself, including a surprising/unexpected fact.
CGP: Taking lessons at the NY School of Trapeze…I know it sounds crazy but it is SO much fun!
